Carlos de la Rúa was born in Basque Country, Spain in 1966 and first arrived to Bali in October 2002 and has never left since. Always interested in fine and contemporary arts, painting, photography, and antique restoration, Carlos has a keen eye in observing the everyday life with an aesthete’s sensitivities.

Previously an owner of a furniture restoration gallery, photography found him while he was observing the amateur photos he had taken in his early trip to Bali. Her numerous natural and human scapes provide the perfect and endless source for Carlos’ inspiration. It encourages him to explore a forgotten childhood passions.
